The Gene Expression Omnibus is a public, international repository for functional genomics data sets based on next-generation sequencing and high-throughput microarray experiments. Data sets are archived with a unique identifier, and associated processed data, metadata, connections between data sets, and search functions allow exploring data for specific species and research topics.
