The Archaea Power Hour initiative arose from a need to strengthen and grow a diverse archaea community across North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean. Our goal is to provide a space for researchers at all levels, from undergraduate students to seasoned investigators, to present their archaea research and obtain feedback in an informal setting. We hope this initiative will foster research collaborations, support outreach efforts to educate the general public about the importance of archaeal biology and attract underrepresented minorities to our field.
